About The Turbo Turtle
Welcome to The Turbo Turtle, a personal blog about pursuing ambitious goals, trying new experiences, and sharing the lessons learned along the way. I created this site to document my progress toward goals and projects across three main areas: Health & Fitness, Money & Career, and Personal Projects. Each section represents a different part of my life that I want to develop through consistent effort. Documenting my progress toward these goals helps keep me accountable, but this blog is about more than recording results. I also want to share the lessons, strategies, mistakes, and useful ideas I discover along the way.
About Me
Professionally, I have spent more than a decade in the financial services industry in roles spanning economic research, capital markets, and risk management. I also completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) programs and earned an international MBA. Outside of work, my interests include health and fitness, travel, language learning, creative pursuits, and home projects. The Turbo Turtle brings these experiences together in one place where I can share my journey and lessons learned with others.

Why The Turbo Turtle?
Since my wife’s nickname for me is “Turtle,” the phrase “slow and steady” naturally came to mind. However, the third word in the site’s philosophy, “turbo,” reflects the idea that patience and consistent effort can eventually lead to extraordinary results. This principle can be applied to almost any goal, whether it involves improving your health, advancing your career, learning a new skill, managing your finances, or completing a personal project. The site and its goals will continue to evolve, but the turtle has started moving, and it may surprise you how fast it can go.
